As we do every summer, we descended upon the home of Reha Elci in East Hampton. Last summer he thought it was bad enough with a pregnant Shoshana. This summer, he had the double pleasure of baby Olivia and pregnant Shoshana. Luckily, Reha can calm himself by looking at his beautiful view and he always enjoys the fishing with Jay on Reha's boat. While the boys were out fishing, Olivia relaxed on the couch. A wonderful weekend was had by all.
Olivia is the luckiest baby because her cousins, Ron and Rose and Jennifer Colonna live around the corner. Not only does she love to visit with them, and we love having them visit us, but THEY HAVE A POOL. Ron turned Jennifer into a real water baby -- she swims competitively. He is intent on doing the same to Olivia. Here she is in the pool. As much as she loves hanging out, eating the strap on her dolphin remains the most fun. In the evening, Jay fired up our new wood-burning BBQ and put on his "Big Daddy" apron and the Colonnas joined us for dinner. livia, of course, had peaches and oatmeal -- a little tastier than dolphin. In the evening, a little horseplay with Mom.
As many of you know, Olivia has reflux and therefore can't lie flat when she is sleeping. A marvelous product we found is the Tucker Sling and Wedge, on which Olivia sleeps. For those of you who don't believe that Olivia just doesn't need a lot of sleep (you Ferber people know who you are), this is Olivia "taking a nap" -- she fell asleep just fine, but was plenty awake 10 minutes later, and not even a little bit cranky!
