Introducing

Zeke B Levin

Zeke B Levin was born to Aviva and Jason Levin on Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at 2:30am. After a relatively uneventful pregnancy, Zeke entered the world in a bit of a hubub. Daddy Jason spent much of the last 2 weeks before Zeke was born in the hospital across the street being all kinds of sick and unhappy. Somehow the emergency room personnel kept it straight that Jason was the one who needed help, and that the very pregnant Aviva was not there to have Zeke quite yet. Not to be outdone, Zeke put Aviva through her paces, too. He arrived after almost three days of labor and 2 days after his due date.

Happily, Aviva's mom was there to help during labor and delivery, with Jason assisting by telephone. Each of Aviva, Jason and Zeke was discharged from his/her respective hospital during the day on Friday, January 7th. All three are doing very well settling into their new family situation. The 4 grandparents and various aunts and uncles are in town cooing over the new addition to the family, and no one has tried to take away Zeke's smile with any warnings about the Bris that is about to happen! (We tried to send a delegation from Silicon Woods, but it looks like we have to wait until Passover for Zeke and Olivia to meet.)

Zeke came into the world with a smattering of dark blonde hair. At 7 lbs., 14 ozs. and 21 inches he is what we at Silicon Woods refer to as a "monster baby." (The rest of the world would view him as a completely normal newborn, but we are a little skewed here!) With that kind of arithmetic progression in his vital statistics, there is no telling what this boy will accomplish in life. Right now, he is very busy changing what he does and what he needs every time Mommy Aviva and Daddy Jason think they are starting to get it all figured out. With our 10 week head start with Olivia, we have the following words of wisdom: we still haven't figured it out!
